Zombie Complete Child Costumezombie complete costume

Night has fallen, there’s rustling of the leaves, and a full moon in the clear sky. What’s that wailing groaning sound that’s getting closer? It’s a Child Zombie from the nearby graveyard!
Available in Medium (8-10) and Large (12-14), the Zombie Complete Costume features a blue and gray top with body parts oozing out of the tears (Yuk!), a totally decrepit zombie mask including a gray wig and “decaying” zombie gloves. To take the whole look to a higher – or should that be ‘lower level’, why not add Black Child Boots for that “clomping along” sound, really “dirty up” the face and mask with a Black Makeup Stick and for that extra horrific look add some “fresh blood” by using Blood Gel.
Just know that the child zombies spread fear wherever they go!

Zombie Face Makeup Guide

What exactly is a Zombie?

The word Zombie is considered to have either come from the West Indian word “jumbie” which is their word for ghost, or from the Kongo word “nzambi” meaning “spirit of a dead person“. A Zombie is a re-animated corpse or person who is controlled by some other person of force using magic. This zombie tale originated from various stories that came from West Africa, with their spiritual beliefs in Voodoo, where people could be controlled by a powerful wizard. Other “zombie” types of stories have also come from Haiti where they are common in their folklore. As a result of the successful film ‘Night of the Living Dead‘ by George A. Romero, Zombies became popular, and have been so ever since. In films zombies often start out as being a nuisance but as they kill, the victims turn into zombies, so they become a plague. They are relentless and feel no pain even if they loose limbs they continue to attack. People who went to see this first Romero film back in 1968 were completely stunned, especially the kids, as they had never seen a movie as horrific as this.

Another of this type of film with ‘modern’ zombies featuring the zombie apocalypse, which is based upon a society breakdown due to zombie infestation and it highlighted the end of the world as we know it, was Romero’s Dawn of the Dead released in 1978. There was a strange pandemic that nobody knew where it came from, that somehow reanimated the dead, sort of bringing them back to some kind of life or ‘undead’, and they preyed on living human flesh. This caused total panic and hysteria and the survivors of this outbreak barricaded themselves in a shopping mall.
